Cinema (Skrillex) X Disperate Youth (Santigold) acapella remix

Even as I wrote it, that title sounded confusing. But what other way could I put it. Basically I saw this video about a week back and I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s real or fake. And from what I can gather and from the other videos on Mike’s Youtube page, it’s the real deal.

The video is part beatboxing, part Ableton mastery and part epic Dubstep faces from Mike. It’s a step away from what he usually does but there’s no denying that he has some serious talent. At points it’s hard to believe that this is actually just one guy and some software making this.

Even if you don’t like Dubstep you need to watch the video just for the sheer talent that this guy has. If you like what you hear then please follow Mike on Twitter, like his facebook page and subscribe to his Youtube here.

Crossover Kidz – His Pain II. Do or Die series part 2

The Crossover Kidz are back with the second instalment of their Do or Die series. This week the track is a bit shorter and is the complete opposite to what we saw in the first week. The track called His Pain II is a piano driven chilled out track.  It has a more jazzy feel to it but is just as dope as the last track. Keep an eye out for the next part and in the mean time follow the Crossover Kidz on Twitter and like the page on Facebook to keep up with all the new music.

Timeflies – We Found Love

It’s nearly 4am and I just saw this on Youtube. Timeflies drop a video to a brand new track off their upcoming mixtape. This track is classic Timeflies with massive bass, some sick sampling and Cal laying down some slick vocals.  Expect big things from these guys in the near future. For now, turn it up and demolish that replay button. Follow the guys on Twitter and like the Facebook page to keep up with all the news on the upcoming mixtape and the all original album they have in the works. You can download the song here.

Devlin – Watchtower ft Ed Sheeran (Official video)

For a blog based in Ireland I don’t post much music from Ireland or England but today that’s gonna change.

The video above is for the single Watchtower from English rapper, Devlin. The track samples The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s  legendary song, All Along The Watchtower. The song isn’t your typical rap track, it goes from loud and in your face to slowed down and chilled out before jumping into the rock instrumental. Ed Sheeran sings Bob Dylans part from the original track as well.

The video works perfectly with the song and all in all it’s definitely a song that needs to be played at high volumes. The only criticism I have about the video is the fact that they left in all the background noise and the audio from the video itself. The added audio makes the track feel like it’s part of a bigger movie and I hope they make a sequel to the video.

You will need to watch this video three times at least. Once for the actual video itself, once to listen to the song itself and finally you will need to turn it up and press play. Follow Devlin and Ed on Twitter and check out their Facebook pages, DevlinEd Sheeran.

Paradigm – The Time Traveler (Demo mix)

Every so often I like to go onto Facebook and go and browse the music pages hoping to find some hidden gems or maybe some dope new artist. Usually I’ll end up liking about two dozen new pages, mostly Indie bands and Hip Hop producers or that sort of stuff. Recently I found a guy called Paradigm and when his stuff started showing up on my timeline I was impressed. For those of you who don’t know Paradigm, he’s a Dubstep/Electro producer from North Carolina and he’s only 19. It’s Dubstep without all the stuff that I normally hate about the genre. And I was even more surprised when I noticed that the guy has less than 2000 likes! Hit the jump for the track and the rest of the post. Continue reading

MGK – Highline Ballroom Soundcheck

After MGK was banned from performing at the Highline Ballroom by the NYPD he took to Twitter to let the fans know he had something in store for them.

The result is the sick Highline Ballroom Soundcheck. MGK goes over Biggie’s Dead Wrong and destroys it. MGK raps about the Freshman issue of XXL and people sleeping on his music. Check the video out and follow MGK on Twitter and like the Facebook page.

Crossover Kidz – Everything I Am. Do or Die series part 1

The first time I did a post on the Crossover Kidz I was pretty blown away. The first track I heard from them was the uber catchy laid back, Thrill Of It. When I got an e-mail from the guys manager, Joe, telling me about a new series they were doing I was expecting something along the lines of Chris Webby’s A.D.D series or Wiz Khalifa’s Day Today. Instead I got an awesome track called Everything I Am. The track is slow and melodic and is definitely one for the Summer playlist when you want to just kick back and chill out. If all the Do or Die series is as good as this then I can’t wait to see what they come out with.

In the meantime follow the Crossover Kidz on Twitter and like the Facebook page

Timeflies Tuesday: Time Of Your Life

It’s been too long since I posted Timeflies on the blog so here they are, back with a vengeance! The guys have been giving us good music each week for over a year now and they have decided to take a break from the Timeflies Tuesday and focus on a much bigger project.

“We’re working on a couple new and exciting projects — the first is a mixtape, which will be coming out very soon. The second is an all original EP, which we’ll be focusing all of our attention on. So, after 68 consecutive weeks of Timeflies Tuesday, we are taking a short break to focus on getting you some new original music. But don’t you worry, Timeflies Tuesday will be back with a vengeance!”

Show the guys some love on Twitter and like the page on Facebook.

Jeu Green-Buddy Holly (Official video)

I honestly don’t know how I slept on this for so long. Jeu Green, the guy who dropped the awesome Zig Zag’s & Snapbacks and gave us 4:20 Mondays is back with a Summer hit in Buddy Holly. This track is a world away from what Jeu was doing on Zig Zag’s & Snapbacks. With the amazing Teddy Roxpin on production and some serious flow from Jeu this track has catapulted him from being relatively unknown to landing on major blogs like GoodMusicAllDay. The track has a slightly old school Rock feel and Jeu just kills it. His flow over the entire track is right on point, it’s pretty cool to see such a leap from Jeu in such a short amount of time. If you like the track then make sure to show him some love on Facebook and Twitter.

Radical Something-Sky Is Born (Summer Of Rad Week 1)

It’s Summer so we all knew that the awesome dudes from Radical Something had something in store for us. It seems like it’s been a long journey but it’s hard to believe that the guys have only been together for a year. In that time they have released a free album, We Are Nothing, and an EP, #NoSweat. For those of you who can’t be bothered to watch the video it basically means that Radical Something have decided to give their fans something to get up for on a Monday. Each week, for 12 weeks, Loggy, Josh and Big Red will release a brand new track on Monday for their fans to show their appreciation for the support they’ve shown the guys.
